Breast Pump Is Losing Suction, What Should I Do?

Do you know?  My breast pump is losing suction, what should I do?

If you are experiencing low suction, check the valve and protectors.  These parts may experience wear and tear over time.  This may affect the pump performance and suction when you’re using it.

Some other tips:

  • Allow parts to dry completely before reassembling.  When reassembling, ensure each piece fits and lies flat.
  • Check the funnel and cup to make sure there are no cracks and they can attach securely.
  • For optimum performance, change the valves regularly.
