Say NO To Second-Hand Breast Pumps!

Say NO to second-hand breast pumps!

To ensure the highest level of safety and hygiene, it is generally recommended that breastfeeding mothers should not buy second-hand or used breast pumps. If cost is a concern, breastfeeding mothers should consider renting a hospital-grade breast pump from breastfeeding support organisations or healthcare providers

Always get a new breast pump.  Risks of second-hand pump:

Cross infection – Bacteria and viruses can be spread through breast milk and can be transmitted through breast pump.

Ineffective & short lifespan – The parts of a second-hand breast pump, especially the motor, is often worn out when they are sold.

Not under warranty – Personal-grade breast pump can only be used by one person and the warranty is not transferable.
