Did You Know? Charging Your imani Pump

FAQ: is it okay to charge my imani pump overnight? We give you the details on how to practise good charging habits to keep your imani in tip top condition!

Charging your Imani pump

Can I charge my Imani pump overnight?

It is not recommended to overcharge your battery.

The lithium-ion battery that powers the Imani pump does not like to be fully charged.

The high voltage from a full charge may stress out the battery.

Furthermore, the capacity of lithium-ion batteries starts to diminish once you start charging.  The capacity to hold charge lowers a little each time you charge the pump.

How do I optimise battery life?

It is not good for lithium-ion batteries to carry full charges.  Hence, do not plug it in to charge when it’s still 80 per cent full.

However, do not let the battery drop below 20 per cent either as the battery will need a high voltage to get back its charge – which also diminishes its capacity.

Imani does not provide an adapter.  What adapter do I use?

First and foremost, you should use the original cable that is provided in the box set.

For the adapter, you should use a registered or certified 5Vdc for rated output with at least 1A (3A at max.) adapter.
