Babies’ Poop Colours

Did you know that baby's poop colour tells so much about your baby's health? Baby poop is a great indicator of how your baby's digestive system is working.

It can help you determine if your child is getting enough nutrition and can alert you to potential problems.

Mustard – Most common and normal in babies.

Orange – Normal, mostly affected by food colour (eg. Carrots)

Red – Affected by food colour or infection/allergy.

Bright Yellow – Normal for breastfed babies. If running, it can be a sign for diarrhoea.

Green – Affected by iron in the baby’s food/formula.

Brown – Normal for formula-fed babies, or constipation.
