When to use Nasal Aspriator?

When our baby has stuffy nose, we would want to help make them breathe and feel better. That's when a nasal aspirator comes into play.

Haakaa's nasal aspirator is a great option if you are not comfortable with electric aspirators and you do not like sucking out mucus with your mouth.
It uses vacuum created by squeezing the bulb to suck out the mucus.

2 options to choose from:
- Haakaa Silicone Bulb Syringe
- Haakaa Penguin Nasal Aspirator

When to use Nasal Aspriator?

When your child

  • Sounds congested
  • Has runny nose
  • Has visible boogie

Only use 2-3 times a day to avoid nasal irritation and potential nosebleed.

Choose the best times to use the aspirator

- Before bed time

- Before baby’s best feed

  1. Choose the suitable tip for your child.
  2. Squeeze the air out of the bulb to create a vacuum.
  3. Gently insert the tip just a bit into one nostril. Slowly release the bulb to suction out mucus.
  4. Remove and squeeze the bulb forcefully to expel the mucus into a tissue.
  5. Repeat the process until nose sounds cleared and proceed to the other nostril.

You can use a saline solution to soften mucus before using the nasal aspirator.
