Tips for Latching

A good latch is important to help make breastfeeding easier for you and your baby.  Here are a few tips to help you in the process!

  1. Hold baby towards body with their nose close to the nipple
  2. Get as much areola into baby’s mouth as possible.
  3. Baby’s head should tilt back and mouth should be wide.  To open their mouth, you can touch your nipple to lips.
